The Outer Worlds 2 Showcases 11 Minutes of Gameplay Footage

Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming first-person action RPG will also be the centerpiece of a dedicated Direct presentation in June.

The Outer Worlds 2 will be Microsoft’s big game to showcase this Summer, with the company having confirmed it as the focus of a dedicated Direct presentation accompanying the annual Xbox Games Showcase in June. Ahead of that, Microsoft has also showcased an extensive chunk of new gameplay footage for the title.

Shared via IGN, Microsoft and developer Obsidian Entertainment have released close to a dozen minutes of gameplay footage. The footage shows a mission that tasks the player with making their way through an enemy-controlled facility, which, of course, means there’s plenty of action and combat shown off, in addition to glimpses of dialogue choice mechanics, visual improvements over the first game, and more. Check out the video below.

The Outer Worlds 2 is due out sometime this year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with a specific launch date yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks and months.
