Microsoft or Bethesda have yet to provide official sales figures for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but based on snippets of data shared by Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, it seems like the MachineGames-developed first-person action-adventure title may have got off to a solid start in the US.

Taking to BlueSky, the industry analyst revealed that for the week ending December 14 – which was the week that saw the full global launch of Indiana Jones the Great Circle – the adventure title was the 2nd best-selling game in the US in dollar sales, second only to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Keep in mind that this doesn’t account for the players that will have jumped in via Game Pass, to put things in perspective.

Interestingly, that same week, Astro Bot also jumped in the charts from No. 11 up to No. 7. The platformer won Game of the Year at The Game Awards partway through that week.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has received widespread critical acclaim, including from ourselves, with our review scoring it a 9/10 and praising its level design, stealth, how authentically it captures the spirit of its source material, and more. Read our full review through here.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC, and launches for PS5 in spring.

Anyways, don't usually post stuff about weekly rankings, but Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was the #2 best-selling video game for week ending Dec 14th in US dollar sales, trailing only Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.Astro Bot went from #11 the week prior to 7th for the week (same week as TGAs).
