While Nintendo didn’t announce the price of the Switch 2 during its Direct, a press release confirms that it will retail for $449.99 when it launches on June 5th.
The package includes the console, the L+R Joy-Con 2 controllers, a Joy-Con 2 Grip and straps, a dock, an AC adapter, a USB-C charging cable, and an Ultra High-Speed HDMI cable. Nintendo also confirmed a bundle that includes the Switch 2 with Mario Kart World for $499.99, though it only contains a download code for the latter.
The Switch 2 includes a 7.8-inch LCD screen, 120 frames per second support, HDR, 256 GB of internal storage and mouse functionality with the Joy-Con 2. The new dock also outputs 4K with HDR and offers a fan for better cooling.
Mario Kart World is the latest title in the multi-million-selling franchise. It features up to 24 racers, the most in the series, and players can race anywhere and participate in tours spanning an entire region. A dedicated Direct is slated for April 17th, so stay tuned.
