The capoeira expert will return to the Street Fighter stage when on the same day that Street Fighter 6 releases for the Switch 2.

Street Fighter 6 is set to be one of several games that will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 when the console launches in June, and on the same day, it will also add a new DLC character to its growing roster on all platforms.

Elena will return to the stage as Street Fighter 6’s fourth Year 2 DLC fighter on June 5. The chirpy capoeira specialist from Kenya was first introduced in Street Fighter 3: New Generation but has been MIA for some time now, so longtime series fans should be happy to see her return.

Owners of Street Fighter 6’s Year 2 Pass or the Ultimate Pass will get access to the character the day she releases, though she will also be individually purchasable using Fighter Coins. Check out her reveal trailer below.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and launches for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5.

The latest update is a big one, bringing with it new monsters to hunt, as well as a new social space where hunters can relax.

The first major content update for Monster Hunter Wilds, dubbed Title Update 1, is out now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The update brings with it a host of new content, headlined by Mizutsune joining the roster of monsters that you can hunt.

As part of the update, Zoh Shia has also been added to the roster of the game. Previously, the monster could only be fought once as part of the story. With the update, however, it is now available as a full hunt, complete with weapons and armours that players can craft from its pieces.

Monster Hunter Wilds is also getting new, harder quests that players can take on for increased rewards. These new 8-star quests will up the ante by having monsters be more resilient to wounds, along with having better defences and more health than what we’ve seen in the base game.

The feature-packed update also brings with it the new Grand Hub area where players can hang out between hunts. The Grand Hub includes just about every facility that players will need before they set out on their next hunt, including the smithy, and even a cadre of felyne cooks.

Check out the full patch notes below. And for more details about the game, check out our review.

A bunch of previously-released third party titles have been officially announced for Nintendo's upcoming next-gen platform.

From Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza to Kirby Air Riders and others, Nintendo unveiled plenty of first-party heavy-hitters for the Switch 2 at the recent Nintendo Direct showcase. On top of that, plenty of third-party titles are also headed for the console.

Several major third-party multiplatform games that have been previously elsewhere were officially announced for the Switch 2. That includes the likes of Split Fiction, Star Wars Outlaws, Civilization 7, Hogwarts Legacy, Wild Hearts, Two Point Museum, and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Separately, Sega also announced Sonic X Shadow Generations for the upcoming Nintendo console.

Split Fiction, Civilization 7, Hogwarts Legacy, and Kunitsu-Gami will be available for the Switch 2 on launch day, which is June 5, while Wild Hearts will arrive later that month, on July 25. Meanwhile, Two Point Museum, Sonic X Shadow Generations, and Star Wars Outlaws will all launch before the end of 2025.

That isn’t the extent of confirmed third-party support for the Switch 2 either. Several major games have been confirmed, including Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Hitman: World of Assassination and Project 007, Borderlands 4, Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, and others.

Capcom will also "identify stability issues and make improvements where possible, especially on the Steam version" over the long term.

While Monster Hunter Wilds is a commercial and critical success for Capcom, technical issues continue to nag players, like PC optimization. Director Yuya Tokuda acknowledged this in the latest Director’s Letter and confirmed reduced VRAM usage and an upgrade to DirectStorage, which should improve stability.

These will go live with Title Update 1 on April 3rd, but the team continues “to identify stability issues and make improvements where possible, especially on the Steam version. This will be an ongoing process, where we’ll aim to make continual steps forward in this area and respond to critical issues.”

Of course, it also wants to improve the “overall technical experience” for all platforms. Perhaps this could lead to further improvements for Xbox Series X/S and PS5 (which aren’t the best-looking versions by a long shot). The developer also plans to take a “wider look at overall gameplay flow, which encompasses a range of things, such as the in-game economy, balance and other areas.”

Finally, the May end update will add a list of captured endemic life, thus making it easier to spot any missing entries. Layered weapons are also returning, finally allowing players to change the appearance of the Artian weapons to match their fashion. There’s no time frame aside from “future update,” so stay tuned for more details.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It sold over 10 million copies in its first month.
The development team aims to release balance adjustments for weapons by the end of May or when Title Update 2 drops this Summer.

In a new Director’s Letter for Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom’s Yuya Tokuda outlined upcoming balancing plans for the action RPG. These include “upward adjustments” for the Hammer and “looking at other overall weapon balance adjustments.” The team aims to release these changes by the end of May or in Title Update 2 (due this Summer).

“Some unintentionally overpowered things will be adjusted downward, but we will also be adjusting other parts upward, making for a generally balanced update,” said Tokuda. One thing is for sure – the Corrupted Mantle is getting nerfed with Title Update 1 since it could build “more damage than expected.” In return, other Mantles will be “adjusted upwards.”

Future updates will also include user interface and UX improvements for item restocking, checking skills, and queuing for multiplayer quests in future updates. The Seikret and camera during hunts will also receive some adjustments, though there’s currently no ETA.

As always, stay tuned for more details. Monster Hunter Wilds is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Title Update 1 goes live on April 3rd and includes Mizutsune and Arch-Tempered Rey Dau. Players can also look forward to more challenging versions of existing Tempered monsters by the end of May.

Tougher versions of Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, Jin Dahaad and even Gore Magala, with more health and wound resistance, are inbound.

Following news of Monster Hunter Wilds selling over 10 million units in its first month, director Yuya Tokuda revealed more details about Title Update 1. Launching on April 3rd, free for all platforms, it adds Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, Mizutsune, the Grand Hub, and the return of Arena Quests.

However, players can battle a Tempered version of Mizutsune in an eight-star quest at Hunter Rank 41 or higher. The end of May will also feature the addition of eight-star versions of Tempered monsters like Gore Magala, Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad.

Perhaps to counter their regular Tempered versions being considered “easy,” these eight-star monsters have received some adjustments. They have increased health and resist wounding, which should, in turn, make it tougher to stun them. Multiplayer scaling will also see some “tweaks,” though further details are unknown.

Tokuda also promised that future updates will feature challenging monsters. Perhaps other eight-star versions of existing monsters are in the works, so stay tuned.

Capcom's latest title in the franchise has achieved a new sales record, significantly beating out Monster Hunter World and Rise.

After selling over eight million copies in its first three days, Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds crossed ten million sales in its first month. Monster Hunter World took nearly five years to reach the same milestone. Monster Hunter Rise reached it after over a year.

While this marks a new sales record for the publisher, it’s only just getting started. The first Title Update launches on April 3rd with a new monster, Mizutsune, alongside the first Arch-tempered monster, Rey Dau. Players can also access the Grand Hub and interact with each other, partaking in mini-games or watching the Diva’s performance.

The Festival of Accord: Blossomdance also arrives on April 22nd as the first seasonal event, bringing limited-time quests and equipment for free. Players can also look forward to a new Capcom collaboration by May end.

The upcoming sequel isn't directly connected to past Onimusha entries to ensure narrative accessibility for newer players.

The road to Onimusha: Way of the Sword’s release is long, but Capcom continues to reveal new details about the hack-and-slash title. For instance, it confirmed that the target is a 20-hour length, though it didn’t confirm if this is just for the story or includes the side content.

In the same interview with Famitsu magazine (translation via DeepL), director Satoru Nihei and producer Akihito Kadowaki confirmed other noteworthy details, like the lack of direct connections to previous titles. This ensures that the plot will be more accessible to new players, but there will likely be references for long-time fans.

Difficulty options haven’t been confirmed, but Way of the Sword will feature stage-based progression rather than going open world. You’ll also encounter various puzzles to solve, though the katana is your primary weapon throughout.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword launches in 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out the latest gameplay trailer here.
