Sonic Racing CrossWorlds

Sega’s Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds lacks a release date, but it is getting a closed network test next week. You can sign up now until February 19th, with the test starting on February 21st, 4 PM PT and ending on February 23rd, 4 PM PT. Unfortunately, it’s exclusive to PS5 players.

For those lucky enough to get in, the test features six tracks, five CrossWorlds, 16 vehicles, and online races. Nine characters are available to select, including Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy Rose, Shadow the Hedgehog, Eggman, Zazz, and more.

World Match is the only available mode, though you can engage in some machine and gadget customization. Participants who complete a survey afterwards can receive a “special” bonus to use in the game when it launches.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is also coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. As showcased in the debut gameplay trailer, its core gimmick is traversing to different worlds through Travel Rings (with first place deciding on the location). Transforming vehicles also return, while Gadgets provide different perks.
