Katsuhiro Harada also notes that while PC specs aren't confirmed, more powerful hardware is better for native 4K gameplay.

Since its announcement last year, Bandai Namco has ramped up its marketing for Tekken 8 with trailers for each fighter (Asuka Kazama and Leroy Smith being the latest). Game director and series producer Katsuhiro Harada also recently confirmed that the fighting game would support rollback netcode and cross-platform play.

While the publisher aims to launch before April 2024, is a beta underway? Apparently so, though Harada isn’t committing to a date. “We are still only doing closed alpha testing at each event, so please wait for the beta.”

Regarding PC requirements, Harada revealed that they’re not yet confirmed. However, if you’re looking to play in native 4K, “the higher the specs, the better.” He added, “If you are in an environment where you have to worry about specs, I recommend playing on a console.” Development is still a ways off from completion, so stay tuned for more details on PC specifications and resolution/frame rate on consoles in the coming months.

Tekken 8 is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It’s developed on Unreal Engine 5 and doesn’t reuse any assets from Tekken 7. Along with removing Rage Drives, it adds new Heat Burst, Heat Engager and Heat Actions. There’s also a beginner-friendly control style.
