Consistent character trailers over recent weeks have filled up Tekken 8’s base roster in impressive fashion, and though the majority of these have been known quantities and fan favourites, a handful of newcomers have been revealed as well, with the likes of Jack-8, Azucena, and most recently, Victor Chevalier. Now, Bandai Namco has revealed the fourth and final new character in Tekken 8, named Reina.

As per a PlayStation Blog post written by director Kohei Ikeda, Reina is set to play an important role in Tekken 8’s story, and was first conceived as a character back when Tekken 7 was still being developed. She uses an acrobatic fighting style rooted in Taido, can unleash techniques like Wind God Fist and Spinning Demon, and has been described as a character that “emphasizes duality in various aspects”, including both, her fighting style and her design. Check her out in action in the trailer below.

With Reina’s reveal, Bandai Namco has now fully revealed the full roster of playable fighters that Tekken 8 will launch with, with 32 characters confirmed for the game in total.

Tekken 8 launches on January 26, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
