Tekken 8 Story Mode

Even the best story-based fighting games tend to have some rather confusing storylines, and the Tekken franchise is no exception. Seemingly being well aware of this fact, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for the upcoming Tekken 8, this time around hoping to summarise and explain the story of Tekken leading up to the events of the next entry. Check it out below.

The trailer features Brian Cox—known for his work in various films and TV shows like Braveheart and Succession—who tries his hand at explaining the story of Tekken. The trailer then goes on to recap the central storyline of the Tekken franchise, leading up to right before the events of Tekken 8, in around five minutes.

For those that might be looking forward to dipping their toes in the fighting game, Tekken 8 currently has a demo available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The demo features the first chapter of the game’s story mode, as well as Chapter 1 of Arcade Quest.

Bandai Namco has revealed that the demo has been quite successful for Tekken 8, with pre-orders having seen a steady increase since the demo’s release. Tekken 8 is slated for release on January 26, and will be coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. For more details, here are our thoughts on why you should look forward to Tekken 8.
