Fans of the kart racer have been discovering gameplay secrets in Mario Kart World at the ongoing Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events
Shawn Layden believes that the quality of Nintendo exclusives like Mario and Donkey Kong allows the company to raise prices.

Files sizes have also been revealed for the upcoming native versions of Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree.
Nintendo continues to show off extensive new gameplay footage for the upcoming kart racer, which is due out in June.
For context, Mario Kart World is priced at $79.99 for the digital release, making it the most expensive standard edition of a game so far.
"I do think that they are a bit surprised by how severe this reaction is," said Krysta Yang, who previously worked at Nintendo of America.
Nintendo's latest kart racer operates on a whole different scale with larger courses and more racers when it launches on June 5th.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was expected to make liberal use of AI-based image upscaling like DLSS in order to run games at high resolution.
Nintendo seems to plan on deciding the prices for its releases on a game-by-game basis, with physical copies costing more than digital.
The bundle retails for $499.99 and includes the console alongside a download code for the next Mario Kart (also launching on June 5th).
Players can drive anywhere in the newest title while competing in races spanning vast regions with up to 23 other players.
